A large portion of this land is part of the Jump-off Community Land Trust (JCLT) and the South Cumberland Regional Land Trust (SCRLT). The campus\, called The Domain by many\, contains numerous species of native plants and trees that are susceptible to competition from invasive species. The removal and control of these invasives is key to the retention of biodiversity on campus. The biodiversity and vast quantity of undeveloped land on campus provides ample opportunities for research and learning.
